Meghan O'Dea
Meghan O'Dea is a senior at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
She is double majoring in English and History, focusing primarily on the 19th
century, and plans to work towards a graduate degree in Victorian literature.

Ondjaki
Ondjaki is an Angolan writer of magical realist fiction whose novel Os da
Minha Rua
was awarded the Grande Prémio de Conto Camilo Castelo
Branco 2008 by the Portuguese Writers' Association. Much of his fiction,
including
The Whistler, has been translated into English to much acclaim.

Kate Schmitt
Kate Schmitt has an MFA from the University of Houston’s Creative Writing
Program.  Her poems have appeared in the anthologies
Earth Shattering
Poems
(Holt, 1998), Light Gathering Poems (Holt, 2000), Roots and Flowers
(Bill Martin Books, 2001), and
I Just Hope It’s Lethal (Houghton Mifflin,
2005), as well as in literary journals, including
Birmingham Poetry Review and
Southern Poetry Review.  She won a Barthelme Memorial Fellowship in Poetry
in 2006, and an Academy of American Poets honorable mention in 2007.  She
is currently completing a Ph.D. in Literature and Creative Writing at University
of Houston.  

Susan Slaviero
Susan Slaviero lives on the cusp of a hellmouth, where she vanquishes evil with
poetry and cupcakes.  She hopes to someday land a job as either a dog
whisperer or a telephone psychic.  In the meantime, she writes.  She has a
fondness for esoterica.

Alexandra Wells
Alexandra Wells is a writer and mixed media artist with a background in biology,
art history, landscape studies, and computers. Her favorite pastime is churning
up the fantastical muck of her subconscious to create a new story. She currently
resides in Madison, Wisconsin with her husband and twin sons.
