Dante's Heart

An Interview with Elizabeth Kerner
Resident in Scotland, Elizabeth Kerner is a novelist who has recently kindled
interest among readers of the fantasy genre with the first three books in her
series Tales of Kolmar. My wife and I read the books, which include a
beautifully fresh love story, during the first year of our courtship, so it was with
delight that I tracked down Elizabeth Kerner Ewing...on Facebook of all
places...and asked her for an interview.
Dante's Heart: Elizabeth, thanks so much for joining us for this e-interview.
Of course the first question on our minds is: will there be any more novels in the
world and with the characters of Song in the Silence?
Elizabeth Kerner: Hiya Daniel. I'm pleased to be here. And yes, I am
presently (July 2008) in the midst of preparing a proposal for the next of the
Tales of Kolmar for my editor. I'll let you know if I get a contract from it!
However, I'm working on the book already anyway… Can't tell you anything
about it, of course, but you'll certainly recognise the characters. Most of them,
at least.
DH: I'm glad. You write characters who feel both the joys and sorrows of life
very deeply, and in your novels, you describe ferrinshadik, the persistent
yearning for conversation with other races. Can you tell us more about this
concept?
